Personal Attacks and Bullying

• Don't post anything that could endanger someone's safety or reputation.
• Never share private information (contact info, address, whereabouts) about anyone.
• Don't use identifiable details about another student in a negative or mean-spirited context. This includes names, initials, or anything that could reasonably identify them.
• Identifying a student in a positive or neutral context is fine, as is discussing a newsworthy event already public elsewhere.

General rule: don't attack anyone, and don't use another student's personal info to be mean.

Hate Speech

• No prejudice based on race, class, age, body type, ability, religion, ethnicity, gender identity, or sexual orientation toward anyone.

General rule: be respectful of everyone.

Misinformation

• Don't post purposefully false or misleading information. Claims that someone broke a law or policy will be removed unless verifiably true, and any negative claim identifying a specific student will be removed regardless, as a personal attack.
• Don't impersonate real people; obvious parody of public figures is fine, parody of private individuals is not.

General rule: don't spread lies or pretend to be someone else.

Spamming or Trolling

• Posts should add real value to the community.
• No repetitive, low-substance, or harassing content.
• Don't use Campus Hearts to promote products or services unrelated to the community.

Illegal Activity

• Discussing drugs or alcohol is fine, but soliciting or selling any controlled substance is not.
• Don't promote or encourage illegal or high-risk activity.

Self-Harm

• Open, supportive conversation about mental health is welcome.
• Content that encourages, glorifies, or jokes about self-harm, severe distress, or suicide is not allowed.

Obscene Content

• Discussing relationships and intimacy is welcome, but graphic or overly sexual descriptions are not.

Violence

• No content that encourages, incites, or threatens violence against any individual or group.

DM & Identity-Reveal Conduct

• Don't pressure someone to reveal their identity in a DM.
• Don't share someone's revealed identity with others without their consent.
• Harassment in DMs is treated the same as harassment in public posts or comments.

Screenshotting & Sharing Off-Platform

• Don't screenshot or share posts, comments, or DMs outside Campus Hearts without the poster's consent.
• Doing so may result in temporary or indefinite revocation of Campus Hearts privileges.

Resource Library Submissions

• Submitted resources should be genuinely relevant to dating, relationships, or mental health.
• No promotional or unrelated links.

Our guidelines are not exhaustive, and we will continue to refine our moderation standards as our Campus Hearts community grows. Consistent failure to follow our community guidelines may result in temporary or indefinite revocation of Campus Hearts privileges.
